The earliest commonly accepted reference to Crowthorne comes from a map made in 1607 (John Norden's survey of Windsor .

...Forest). The map had Crowthorne mentioned as the point where three paths through the forest met. Corus Hotel Bracknell is an excellent base for exploring Berkshire, Thames Valley and London. Originally built in 1860, this elegant Victorian building has been totally refurbished and features contemporary designs.
