The Norbreck Castle is an ideal family hotel providing plenty of entertainment for children. The exclusive 36-seater hotel cinema plays a number of children’s films and cartoons. The hotel has a leisure club, with free entrance to the 18 metre indoor heated pool, a splash pool for the very young, and a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi whirlpool. There are also beauty treatment rooms and a fully equipped gymnasium, with state of the art equipment (chargeable).
Blackpool has a number of famous attractions including Blackpool Tower and the Illuminations, which are on show towards the end of each year. Blackpool Pier and the Opera House provide a number of shows throughout the year whilst the Pleasure Beach provides thrilling rides and the traditional fun of the fair.
The Norbreck Castle offers 480 mostly refurbished en-suite bedrooms, many with sea views or whirlpool baths. For entertainment there is a nightly show, a lively themed bar - Copper Face Jacks, and a 36 seater cinema. During the school holidays there is a children's entertainment programme and an amusement arcade open all year round. For the 2005 summer season a second newly refurbished restaurant will be open. The hotel also boasts a large free car park.
Local Attractions
Illuminations (2 km) - Blackpool's illuminations the biggest free show on earth. Lights shine from early September to the 1st weekend in November.
Stanley Park (4 km) - Situated inland in a quiet location, beautiful gardens, sports facilities, boating lake plenty to do for a family day out.
Blackpool Tower (4 km) - Attractions include a ride up to the top of the tower, Circus, Aquarium and Jungle Jims (Childrens play area), not forgetting the world famous Tower Ballroom. Situated in the town centre.
Pleasure Beach (7 km) - White knuckle rides include the Big One and Ice Blast Big Dipper, plus rides for the little ones, Ice show/Ice rink available. Seasonal opening hours, situated at the South end of the Promenade
Directions
Follow the M55 to Blackpool and leave at junction 3, A585 Fleetwood. At the traffic lights turn left, up to the next set of light bearing right. Follow the A585 Fleetwood road, over the next two roundabouts, then on the third roundabout take the B5412 Cleveleys road. Once into Cleveleys Town Centre, follow the A583 to Blackpool, following the tramlines, hotel is one mile on your left.
