Local Attractions:
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (6 km) - One of the world's best collections of Pre-Raphaelite paintings can be seen here, including important works by Burne-Jones, a native of Birmingham. Also on display are fine silver, ceramics and glass.

The New Art Gallery Walsall (19 km) - Largely funded by National Lottery money, this new modern art gallery was opened in February 2000. Its unusual tower has a variety of oddly shaped windows, while the main building has six floors of art on display. Includes the Garman Ryan permanent collections

Cadbury World (7 km) - Lots of recent changes have meant Cadbury World now has much more to see, do and taste. There is the chance to get involved in the chocolate making process, and to find out how the chocolate is used to make famous confectionery. Visitors can learn about how cocoa was used by Mayan Indians and the Azteks and find out who brought the secret of chocolate to Europe, and how John Cadbury and his sons developed the family business. There are rides through a chocolate wonderland on 'beanmobiles' and a Fantasy Factory with a childs eye view of chocolate making. And of course, you'll want to visit the world's biggest Cadbury shop before you leave!

Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses (7 km) - Originally opened in 1832, the gardens include the Tropical House, which has 24ft-wide lily pool and lush vegetation. The Mediterranean house features a wide variety of citrus fruits and the Arid House has a desert scene with its giant agaves and opuntias

Dudley Zoological Gardens (19 km) - Set in 40 acres, the castle ruins are an impressive example of feudal splendour, whilst the zoo houses one of the most diverse collections of animals in the country. Home to many endangered species, there is the opportunity to see and learn about animals

Black Country Living Museum (19 km) - On the 26-acre site is a recreated canal-side village, with shops, houses and workplaces. Meet the costumed guides and find out what life was like around 1900. Ride on a tramcar, take a trip down the underground mine, venture into the limestone caverns

Thinktank at Millennium Point (6 km) - Thinktank is Birmingham's science museum, a truly modern museum offering ten galleries of historical artefacts, modern interactives and fascinating futuristic facts. Visitors are encouraged to explore everything from aircraft and steam engines to intestines and taste buds - and even emotional robots!

National Motorcycle Museum (8 km) - Five exhibition halls showing British motorcycles built during the Golden Age of motorcycling. Spanning 90 years, the immaculately restored machines are the products of around 150 different factories. Over 700 machines are on show

Baddesley Clinton Hall (14 km) - A romantically-sited medieval moated house, dating from the 14th century, that has changed very little since 1634. With family portraits, priest holes, chapel, garden, ponds, nature trail and lake walk. An autumn lecture programme is planned.

Ash End House Childrens Farm (16 km) - Ideal for young children, this is a small family-owned farm with many friendly animals to feed and stroke, including some rare breeds. Cafe, shop, gift shop, play areas, picnic barns and lots of undercover activities.

Located only 5 miles from Junction 5 of the m42 the Westley Hotel is easily located by following the a41 to Acocks Green. We are 200 yards from the main roundabout in the village centre on the Westley Road (b4146)
