Purpose built as a hotel in 1828, and numbering the eponymous Queen among its famous guests, the Royal Victoria is an imposing presence on the sea front at St. Leonards. A fine marble staircase leads up from the lobby to the main public areas on the first floor, where you will also find our Piano Bar and Sea Terrace Restaurant.

The Burton Suite, a multi-functional room, makes an ideal venue for larger conferences, weddings and banquets, having the added advantage of its own dance floor and bar facilities.
The Sea Terrace Restaurant is also available for larger weddings, conferences and functions.
The Royal Victoria Hotel has six fully equipped meeting rooms accommodating up to 100 delegates theatre-style, available between 8am and 6pm.
All delegate rates include the following: fruit cordials, minerals/iced water, boiled sweets or mints, conference blotters and stationary.
Secretarial services and technical equipment can also be arranged.
Room Details
Bedrooms are unusually spacious which include a number of duplex and family suites. Many of the rooms have separate lounge areas and views overlooking the English Channel and Beachy Head.
For those special occasions there are several suites or luxury rooms and a celebration package to offer you that little something extra.
All rooms have en-suite, colour television, tea, and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone, as well as the other comforts you would expect from a modern hotel.

Smugglers Adventure (3 km) - A Smuggler's Adventure is a themed experience housed in a labyrinth of caverns and passages deep below the West Hill. Visitors first tour a comprehensive exhibition and museum, followed by a video theatre, before embarking on the Adventure Walk
Bodiam Castle (17 km) - With its tall round drum towers at each corner, Bodiam is something of a fairytale castle. It was built in 1386 by Sir Edward Dalnygrigge, for comfort and defence. The walls measure some 6ft 6in thick, and the great gatehouse was defended by gun loops
Yesterday's World (8 km) - Yesterday's World is a fun day out for all the family, as the past is brought to life. Walk down the cobbled streets of yesteryear and meet the colourful characters in over 30 shop and room settings including a 1930's grocer's and a Victorian kitchen
1066 Story in Hastings Castle (2 km) - The ruins of the Norman castle stand on the cliffs, close to the site of William the Conqueror's first motte-and-bailey castle in England. It was excavated in 1825 and 1968, and old dungeons were discovered in 1894.
Bateman's (20 km) - Rudyard Kipling lived for over 34 years in this 17th-century manor house and it remains much the same as it was during his lifetime. His 1928 Rolls Royce Phantom is on display, and the watermill at the bottom of the garden grinds wheat into flour on Saturday.
The Observatory Science Centre (16 km) - Hands-on science and discovery among the domes and telescopes of a world-famous astronomical observatory. With more than 100 exciting interactive exhibits, shop and cafe, picnic area and free parking, set amid beautiful Sussex countryside.
Great Dixter (17 km) - Birthplace and home of Christopher Lloyd, gardening writer, the oldest part of Great Dixter dates from the 1450's and boasts one of the largest timber-framed buildings in the country. Lutyens was employed to restore both the house and gardens in 1910. The nursery has plants for sale, many of which can be seen in the gardens themselves
Old Town Hall Museum of Local History (3 km) - Situated in the heart of Hastings Old Town, the museum was originally a Georgian Town Hall built in 1823. Refurbished displays tell the story of Hastings Old Town as a walk back in time, with features including a Cinque Ports ship, and interactive display
Pevensey Castle (15 km) - William the Conqueror landed here in 1066 and established his first stronghold. Discover the history of the Norman castle and the remains of an unusual keep through the free audio tour.
Rye Castle Museum (17 km) - Part of the museum is housed in a stone tower built as a fortification in 1249. The museum's collection of ironwork, medieval pots and smuggling items are on display here, while the East Street site contains the rest of the collection, including pottery making
Directions:
By car: follow the a21 London road until you reach the seafront.
Turn right and onto the seafront leading west. The hotel is about half a mile on the right, 1 mile west of Hastings pier.
By rail: direct line from either Victoria or Charing Cross. The nearest station is St Leonards Warrior Square
